Kenley - Four Point Five

Someone else celebrated a big milestone last week...Kenley! My first born turned 4.5 years old. And as she would say, "What in my world?!" I feel the same, kid. What in MY world? How is she so old? How is she already at that age where she must add the half part to the age?!

Some things about Four Point Five Year Old Kenley:

- She loves Meghan Trainor, Pink, Justin Timberlake, and DNCE.

- Her favorite musicals are "Shrek: The Musical" and "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee".

- "Did I trick you?" is what she says when she lies.

- She loves playing Barbies, Bingo, Go Fish, Twister, Princesses, Peppa Pig, and Sago Mini.

- She bites her nails.

- She just recently has allowed ponytails and pigtails. But ONLY so she can look like specific characters. Ie: Pigtails to look like Marcy Park from Spelling Bee.

- She is timid and takes a while to warm up to people. I am VERY okay with this.

- She loves making new friends but prefers one on one play.

- She wants to be an astronaut and a princess when she grows up. Totally doable.

- Her favorite color is...all the colors! So...the rainbow?

- She loves arts, and farts, and crafts. And painting, drawing, sculpting, etc.

- She is afraid of the dark and prefers all lights on as well as all doors closed.

- She likes to have dance parties in the car.

- She loves the beach almost as much as her sister.

- Her nicknames are "Ken", "Ken Ken", "Bubba", and "Baby" (yes, like Dirty Dancing).

- Her first crush (*gasp*) was a boy named Noah whom she met stared at from a far at soccer. "Oh my gosh Mommy, Noah is here!"

- Her best friends are Elliot and Charlie.

- She hates cake, pie, and most cookies but will eat plain noodles (spaghetti only), ketchup (to her this is food), strawberries, pizza, bacon, eggs, black beans, apples, applesauce, carrots, corn, bagels, toast (not toasted), milk, and ice cream. And...that is about it.

- She is the sweetest kid ever in public. We are constantly getting compliments about it. At home, however, she is a four-nado.

- She LOVES Universal Studios, Hollywood. (bummer daddy doesn't work there anymore)

- She just started gymnastics. Oh my goodness, I am so excited about this you guys!

- Her favorite movies are "Shrek: The Musical", "The Peanuts Movie", and "Finding Nemo".

- Her favorite TV shows are "Elena of Avalor", "Odd Squad", and "PJ Masks".

- When referring to anything in the past tense she says "Last year...". Ie: "Last year I brushed my teeth."

- Her favorite books are "Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich", "Madeline", and any Berenstain Bears books.

- She poses for the camera. Pose includes hand on hips and not looking at the camera.

- She loves the Statue of Liberty.

- She loves playing Pokemon Go with Daddy. In general, she loves video games. Thank goodness we don't have a gaming console.

- By dinner time, she basically is no longer wearing clothes. If we are lucky, she'll wear a costume or swimsuit for the rest of the day.

- She thrives on knowing what is to come. And is constantly asking me "What's next?" And by knowing what is to come, I mean every hour for the next three days.

- She loves doing "homework". Homework = math or writing worksheets.

- She is pretty excellent at mazes. "Advanced" mazes are typically way to easy for her.

- She's kind of the best big sister...50 percent of the time. But really, I'm pretty proud of her. She hates when her little sister cries and will almost always go out of her way to comfort her.

We love her a lot and I think 4.5 years old might be my most favorite age ever. Despite the occasional four-nado days.
