One Month

One Month - 1/12 of a year people!

September 2014

We spent the majority of September staring at the tiny new human we made, watching our big human interact with our tiny human, and trying to figure out how to care for two tiny humans with zero sleep. We also had a few lovely visitors.

This big sis is the best...most of the time.

I still cannot believe that E was once this tiny. And that she resided in my tummy. And that I have grown two HUMANS in my tummy so far. In awe.

At her first doctor's visit.

Her first bedtime story time. Little Bo Peep nursery rhymes gifted from my aunt Dee. 

Every day, for almost a month, Kenley asked if she cold hold Eleanor. She also requested that we take a photo of them each time. Happily, miss K, happily.

Sometimes babies are boring. To pass the time, miss K liked to watch Mother Goose Club until Eleanor woke up.

Final stretch!

I cannot believe we are only 6 days away (or less?) from meeting the newest little lady Simpson. It seems so crazy and surreal to me that I’ll be a mother of TWO in less than a week! We are so excited (and a bit nervous I’ll admit) to have another human in our care!

Famous

I’m official a stage mom! Okay…not really. But Kenley did have her first (and possibly last) photo/video shoot!

Universal Studios asked some of their employees with kids to come to a commercial/print/video shoot for their new Despicable Me attractions. I wouldn’t normally take Kenley to something like this but all she had to do was play in a splash pad and on a playground. She. Was. Terrified. She wasn’t afraid of the cameras, just the big kids running around (which they were supposed to do). She was the littlest one there so I think it was a bit much for her. She did however, love craft services! So many treats and sweets that she doesn’t normally get at home.

Maybe she’ll want to do something like this again, maybe she won’t. Either is okay by me!

I highly doubt any shots she was in will be used, but if there is, I’ll let you know!

My 3rd Mother’s Day

 

I can’t believe I’m already on my 3^rd Mother’s day! And next year I’ll be a mother of TWO! That is still a little wild to me.

Mother’s day was a little rough this year and my kid couldn’t have been more misbehaved, but I am so thankful that the beautiful little lady in the picture above is mine. For some reason, God has entrusted her to John and I and I pray every day that we are doing a good job. She’s two, and a handful, but so very amazing. Thank you Kenley for being the best!

It’s a…

GIRL!

I am so incredibly excited to have another girl! I ALWAYS wanted a sister (instead my parents got me a dog) growing up. And I am so excited that Kenley will have one. She keeps saying “no girl, boy instead”, but I think she’ll be happy when she meets her. J

Getting excited for lots of little lady tea parties, makeovers, sharing secrets, and fighting over boys and clothes.

Oh, and don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my brothers!

My Absent Excuse

HELLO EVERYONE! Oh my goodness, major apologies for being absent for so long! Things have been fairly crazy around the Simpson household and when I can rest, I DO. I’m pretty much exhausted all the time because…

WE’RE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!

ONLY CHILD EXPIRING AUGUST. 2014

We are so excited to be adding another little one to our family. Even Kenley seems excited…for now. She touches and points and says “Baby mommy tummy. Gentle”. It’s a major cute-fest.

This pregnancy, along with raising a toddler, has me drained all day long so blogging is usually the last thing on my mind. I’m starting to feel a little relief and am hoping to blog more on all things Simpson.

I’m 20 weeks! HALFWAY! And tomorrow we find out the gender! I cannot wait to find out, and I honestly don’t care either way if we have a boy a girl. I know a lot of people want us to have a boy to even things out, and I will be OVER THE MOON if we have a boy, but I LOVE the idea of sisters too. Like most moms, I just want a healthy little one.

 

This was at 19 weeks, I'm a little heftier now.
